Follow the continuous improvement of our new website!

Our website is now close to the state where you can find the basic functionality of every feature required for the launch of the website, including the eShop functions. This is what we call a minimum marketable product (MMP).

It is still in a minimal stage of development, but we are continuously working to improve it so that first movers can launch their local site as soon as possible.

With this new project, we have laid a new foundation stone for digitalisation at HARTING, both methodically and technologically.

Methodologically: Agile and progressive

We are developing this project in an agile way, which means that each release builds on the previous one and continuously brings new features and improvements to the previous version into operation. Your feedback is incorporated into future releases. This allows us to create a continuously improved product that always meets the latest requirements. An ongoing process.

What can you expect?

In the coming months we will be working specifically on the development of our new website with online shop and customer self-service. You can follow this development closely and work on it. Please note, however, that the new features are not always obvious or involve major changes. There may also be small, at first glance inconspicuous things that are being optimised. It always depends on what is being worked on.
Our site is now permanently available and will be updated with new features approximately every fortnight.

Technological: Headless architecture

Our project is based on a new system architecture, the so-called headless approach. In this approach, different systems fulfil their tasks (best of breed), while the frontend delivers the content by interacting with these systems via interfaces. This prevents system discontinuities in the customer journey and enables us to use systems in a modular way and to exchange them if necessary. We are using a new content management system called Contentful, which will replace Drupal, and a new digital asset management system called Canto. These are connected to our new frontend based on the Angular framework, as well as our existing eCommerce solution for the online shop.

Your feedback is important to us!

We are looking forward to your feedback on the new website. You can contact us at any time via the feedback form.

Roadmap view

Roadmap for the launch of country sites.

After the Minimum Marketable Product is available and the local content has been migrated by the LS marketing team, the translation of the master content can be done to be ready for the launch of the new country website including the e-commerce features.

Each launched regional site will be automatically upgraded with the new features as soon as the next version is deployed.

The way of content creation

The way of content creation.

The global or master content will be served by the GBUs and the CCB teams. Parallel it is possible for each LS to create their identified local pages. Each time the master content is provided, the translation takes place via Across and can be adapted by the LS team if necessary. In a continuos workflow the master content will be enhanced step by step.

If the site is completely filled with necessary content, the launch can be done region by region, but not all can be done at the same time.
